The main focal point of my subject matter is the American urban landscape.The complexity of the urban landscape, and it's ability to change throughout time is a unique source of inspiration my work. The people in these cities hold a dear place in my heart because of all they have to endure in this often harsh environment. I respect these people and their diverse cultures, and try to capture their lives and surroundings honestly. There is an energy that surges through these cities and runs into my work, particularly in capturing the American urban life. Equally important, is the appreciation for the architectural heritage of the city. Combining these two elements of architecture and urban life in a representational manner is the mission of my work. Throughout the years it has also been my pleasure to meet a lot of collectors and business owners. They have not only acquired many of my sculptures from shows and galleries , but have also commissioned very personal pieces. These types of pieces include everything from sculptures of their home or businesses, to sculptures of their favorite hangouts and favorite places in different lands. Also of historical landmarks in their family history that no longer exist.
