The Theory Of Relativity
Over the years of teaching drawing and composition, I have developed a method that I
call the "Theory of Relativity". This is based on the axiom, "nothing
is anything except by comparison".
The drawing book covers the
basics of applying this technique, with suggestions for arranging your sketchbook for good
record keeping, some tips on composition and even a little perspective.
It covers the theory as applied to hands, portraits, still life and
landscapes, whether your subjects are live models or reference material from your
own photos.
There are chapters covering shapes, values, and negative space.
In my drawing classes, when students
apply this method they are amazed at the ease with which they can produce accurate
interpretations of their chosen subjects.
This book does not go into long-winded explanations of theory or possibility, but
presents succinct "how-tos" that you can use to learn to draw with ease and
accuracy. The soft cover book contains 58 pages of sketch examples and instruction that
really work!
Its been proven anyone can draw using this
theory! (And a little practice!)
