Nick grew up in the small town of Salisbury near the Adirondack Mountains. As a child, Nick spent much time in the
mountains exploring and gaining respect for all the life that inhabits the forest - especially the trees. Nick never cuts down any trees for his carvings; he only uses trees that are already fallen. His artistic ability was evident very early in life because he spent many days sketching and whittling. His father was a great inspiration to him because he is a woodworker and also has a tremendous appreciation for the out-of-doors. He taught Nick to use a chainsaw and many other tools for woodworking at a young age. 

Nick's favorite characters to create are his bears. Using a chainsaw, he gives each bear their own personality and
irresistable charm. The bears make great gifts for any occasion - Mother's Day, Father's Day, Birthday, House-warming,
Graduation, or Christmas. Nick has a wide range of work in his collection, from eagles to Indians. Nick does many custom orders, so if you don't see what you would like, please e-mail, phone, or write to us. We will be glad to ship wherever you like.
