Carousels everyone loves them. Big or small, young or old, the music is infectious and the smiles and laughter are contagious.

Lennie Hirsh fell in love with carousels and here is what she has to say
For many years I taught young people that everyone possesses the
power to create. I insisted they avoid using a fixed standard or
superficial ratings to judge themselves or to compare their art to that of
another artist. Yet, until I returned to painting in oils, I never fully
tested this credo on my own artwork. I taught art (and loved teaching)
and I illustrated various projects simply because it was my job and I
could do it well. Now, at last, I have discovered I can paint and draw for
the simple joy of creating and exhibiting art.
My style is representational and often nearly photo-realistic. My
focus is children...children I know, children I have photographed in my
travels and now a new love...children on carousels. My world is expanding.
