About the Glass...
Victor Meyer's unique sculptures are created using a process known as Lampwork. Lampwork starts with a solid glass rod. Using only an open flame, Victor individually works each piece into a solid sculpture using freehand only (no molds). Each sculpture is heated in a kiln to relieve stress and to align the glass molecules. "Curing" the glass in this way allows Victor to sandblast the glass, giving many sculptures a frosted and clear combination.
All of Victor Meyer's glass sculptures are mounted on a solid wood base that has been finished in durable black enamel. The black bases create an elegant contrast with the glass making the sculptures appear even more dazzling.
Every sculpture is removable from its base to allow for safe shipping and easy care for your piece. To purchase a unique sculpture by Victor Meyer, click on the
