December 22, 2000 SEEKING DESIGN TEAM ARTISTS The King County Public
Art Program is seeking professional artists residing in the United
States for its Design Team Registry. The Design Team Registry will
feature artists who have experience in "design team
collaboration". This is defined as artists who have worked closely
with other members of the project design team--traditionally,
architects, engineers, landscape architects and clients--to
incorporate their ideas and perspectives into the total project
planning and design. The Design Team Registry is a juried roster of
artists that will be utilized for a 3-year period as a method of
direct selection of artists for public art opportunities. To receive

December 31, 2000 National Photography Awards - CALL FOR ENTRIES> Open
to all. Established annual competition to honor those photoghaphers
whose photographic talent and expertise are unmistakably evident in
the images they produce. Entrants may choose from over 50 different

December 31, 2000 The Florida Outdoor Sculpture Competition, a joint
project of the Polk Museum of Art and the City of Lakeland, is
accepting submissions for a Public Art exhibition in downtown
Lakeland. 10 works will be accepted and will receive $1,000 to cover
transportation. $3,000 Best of Show. Deadline is January 31,
2001. Artists must submit labeled slides of three completed works,
with 2 3 views of each work, along with a resume, one paragraph long
artist statement, and non-refundable $15 entry fee to Polk Museum of
Art, Attn: Outdoor Sculpture Competition, 800 E Palmetto St, Lakeland
FL 33801. No incomplete works or project proposals will be
considered. All works must be able to be anchored to concrete and
maintenance free for the duration of the exhibit, which will run from

January 31, 2001 SEEKING FILM/VIDEO ASSISANT PROFESSOR
Tenure-track. Must have a broad range of skills. Candidate will teach
courses in video production. Opportunities to teach in other areas,
such as new media, documentary, film production, scriptwriting, 3-D
animation, media history and criticism. Masters degree and work
experience required. MFA preferred. Significan professional
experience in video production a plus. Demonstrated excellence in
teaching preferred. Work with School of Communications faculty in all
disciplines, serve on university committees, and advise students. Send
