Danny is an award-winning artist with many awards and first place ribbons to testify to his love of art. He lives in a small community nestled in the middle of all his inspirations. Living in a small town, out on the prairies in Canada, you have all the inspiration you need just by watching nature colour the seasons. He paints in watercolour but would like to get into acrylics. He is self-taught with no formal education in the arts. He is well known for his winter and train scenes. All paintings are original at this time as he does not do prints but hopes to get into this shortly. He also is well known in the community for his generosity in donating his art work to help non-profit organizations. He can spend a day working on the details of one feather ( Predator) or he can do a painting like Tree Line the same day. He received the prestigious Eillen Korponay award for the most transparent watercolour among several others. He has been painting for approximately 4 years. He has had his work published in several national magazines EMAIL [email protected]

Although born and raised on a small farm on the edge of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, my roots (if a Smith can have roots) are deep in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. This is where, as a child, many trips were made to visit the farms and relatives of both parents - visits that set the stage and influenced my life and paintings even though I have resided in Oregon and California for over 30 years.
My most rewarding work is experienced when Lifes special moments and places are captured in my paintings that bring joy and hope to those who experience and cherish them.
I welcome you to visit my website at www.moments-of-life.com for more images and information about my art.

I paint what touches me most, may it be joyfull or painfull or just my admiration for life.
I always have loved the American Indians for their view of life and their wisdom of treating the earth, I always loved animals for much of the same reason, and the bond of Mother and Child that goes deeper than any other bond.
Lately I have started to express my concern about war and destruction we are creating in this world, damaging our environment and fighting wars, that seem senseless.
I do believe, that we are all made of the same substance, and that we are all one, plant life, animals and humans, and I do wish we could find a way to live in peace with each other.
