I would like to share with you my
folk art which is inspired by my love for the carousel and its music. I started
a 11 years ago constructing a small band organ front, using a carved frame, pvc,
pipe, cupids, a brass trumpet, a drawer pull and some eagle pins. It measures
14"x 12". Nothing like jumping from the frying pan into the fire and
making another one measuring 24"x48" and it took 2 years before it was
completed. I call it "AMERICANA". It was followed by a cupid and
flower band organ front 24x36 and a rounding board entitled Ben Hur. For the
next 5 years I was busy manufacturing childrens lamps...I have now returned
to making folk art and I cant stop; making rounding boards, some of which
have lights and band organ facades. They are all dimensional and constructed
using wood panels, wood applique, antique frames, resin castings, prints, PVC
pipe rhinestones, mirrors,
ferrules and anything and everything. Some of the resin castings are from molds
that I made from old Victorian mirrors. I hope you enjoy looking at my art
