After the birth of my firstborn son, six years ago, I chose to be an at home mom, so I created Susie's Silk's & Country Crafts. Each of my woodcrafts are created by hand. I like to take the time needed to create and perfect the look and usefulness of my product for all of my customers. Each wood piece is hand cut by a scroll saw, hand sanded, stained and hand painted by acrylics with a Satin Finish. The San Bernardino Mountain Coloring Book was created by my parents. My mother drew the pictures from actual wildlife photographs as for my father a local Forrester wrote the description of each animal. This coloring book is a great tool for learning about our wildlife as well as fun to color. Doll cradle, Baby cradle, Hand painted signs, and more can all be ordered customized for colors, size, and personalized.

I have worked with unique woods since 1983. I am a member of the International Who's Who Historical Society {my short biography is featured in the 2001 edition of the International Who's Who of Entrepreneurs}, Rainforest Alliance Smart Wood Program), National Arbor Day Foundation, Woodworkers Book Club, & a life member of Handyman Club of America. I have had some of my designs, woodworking tips and jigs featured and published in trade magazines.  I try to design and handcraft wooden items that are truly unique and will be an heirloom that will increase in value as the years and decades pass! All my heart & soul goes into each piece. The wood for each and every one of my creations, I always hand pick for its color, grain, figure and how much it moves {expands and contracts} with temperature & humidity changes. Each piece is also signed, dated and numbered {small items on the certificate} and comes with wood data, a brief artists profile, Certificate of Genuineness and an elegant folder to hold and keep your documents safe. Wood is a renewable natural resource. Today a number of woods come from sustainable sources. Through the efforts of people it can remain indefinitely. Woods that I normally use include unique native American woods, wood that comes from managed forests, tree plantations, rediscovered wood or woods that are endorsed by the Rainforest Alliance.
