Do not accept money orders ( they could be stolen )
Do not accept Bank Drafts   ( they could be stolen or hand made on a computer )

One alternative is Western Union. The only way they can send a western union is to go to a western union office and use cash. The cost is only $ 15.00 if this is a problem then let them deduct it from the cost of your work,
