After years of teaching art in NYC schools, Lennie Hirsh has
successfully returned to painting and exhibiting her own artwork. She has rediscovered the simple joy of creating and recreating her expanding
world. Lennie's focus is children - children she meets, children she photographs in her travels and especially children on
carousels. Her style is representational and nearly photo-realistic, much like the way
she views her chosen subjects. To see a more detailed look at these wonderful
old time carousels click on image

William H. Hall
(Hannibal) currently works out of his studio and
resides on the outskirts of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. Hannibal himself has
been active in the visual arts since adolescence. He has always felt a strong
inclination towards drawing objects like ships and trains. Primarily self taught
in art, Hannibal has taken occasional formal training to sharpen certain skills.
He's been painting and
cartooning for 30 years and his oils and acrylics have been used for traditional
"living room" viewing., greeting cards and even book jackets. In addition, his
history scenes adorn the walls of many military clubs throughout the world.
Hannibal is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists which is the
professional artists association in Canada known as the FCA. He relies on his
Web Site so others can contact him and he's really kept busy with steady
traffic. All of his art is pleasing, and with modest prices listed with his
work, one can see why he focuses on online visitors rather than actual
exhibitions.
His present subjects include; ships, automobiles, trains and aircraft.
A somewhat unique feature of Bill's painting is his use of light and
shadows to enhance the 3D effect. He uses the "Z-Axis" to
bring the viewer into his pictures. Hannibal uses only the highest
quality materials in his work, commercially stretched canvas and
usually framed upon |

I
AM ENCHANTED AND ALWAYS FASCINATED BY THE ESSENCE OF LIGHT,
CAPTIVATED BY THE MANNER IN WHICH IT PLAYS WITH COLOR, MANIPULATES FORM,
CREATES MOOD AND DRAMA. THIS IS WHAT DRAWS ME TO A PARTICULAR
LANDSCAPE SCENE, OR WHAT I TRY TO CREATE IN A STILL LIFE. THIS
OBSERVATION EXPERIENCE IS ONLY THE STARTING POINT FOR MY INSPIRATION.
FAITHFUL REPRESENTATION IS BUT PART OF THE EQUATION, AS MY IMAGINATION,
MOOD AND MEMORIES INEVITABLY PLAY A ROLE IN THE CREATION OF A PAINTING.
IT IS INDEED A PAINTING OF A TEAPOT, A PEAR, A FLOWER, FIELD OR PATH, BUT
IT'S SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT. "ART IS OUR MEMORY OF LOVE. THE
MOST AN ARTIST CAN DO THROUGH THEIR WORK IS SAY, LET ME SHOW YOU
WHAT I HAVE SEEN, WHAT I HAVE LOVED, AND PERHAPS YOU WILL SEE IT AND LOVE
IT TOO" (ANNIE BEVAN)
THANK
YOU FOR VIEWING MY PAINTINGS.
