Malenda Trick

Web Site     United States

Malenda Trick is one of the United States most prominent artists. She paints with a touch of the old world masters and the 19th century impressionists. She particularly enjoys painting 19th century impressionism, having learned to paint in the style of the old masters when the Tennessee State Museum commissioned her to reproduce the works of the great impressionists of the 19th century. Her aggressive style employs bold, flowing lines, vibrant colors and stimulating textures that capture the essence of contemporary life. Her style is very distinctive and has often been labeled "Romantic Impressionism". A natural evolution of her interest in the great impressionists such as Monet, Renoir and Degas, her own style incorporates a rich palate of colors and tones that provide real depth to her work. Her ability to paint many varied styles puts her in great demand by all looking for images for their products. From her whimsical chefs, her still life works, reminiscent of renaissance art and the great impressionists of the 19th century, to stunning European landscapes, Malendas art is prized by owners worldwide.
Malenda demonstrates her varied artistic talents in portraitures of the prominent, including golfer Sam Snead, President George W. Bush, U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn, Actor Fred Thompson, Tennessee Governors Ned Ray McWherter and Phil Bredesen, Tennessee Titans football team owner, Bud Adams, and country music performers, Vince Gill and Amy Grant. Her private and corporate patrons include Katharine Hepburn, Martina McBride, Tennessee State University, and the Tennessee State Museum.

Malendas art may now be purchased on prints and gicles from fine art publisher, Bonart Artique who has commissioned Malenda to paint Europe, which she has done with her Masterworks Series in 2007 and her newest project, the Maestri darte series in 2008. Her landscapes bring the viewer a remembrance of things past and dreams of future adventures.

Malendas product lines include tapestries by Beljen Mills, Pure Country Weavers, Manual Woodworkers and Weavers, and Weavetec/Simply Home, stationary products and calendars by Lovett Inc., designer bank checks by The Bradford Exchange, tile and stone murals by American Custom Tile, and wine tags and napkins by Imagery Products. In The United Kingdom Malendas images are used on Wentworth Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles, Spike Leisure wear Tee Shirts, and wine gift bags at major stores in the UK. Malenda has a wide variety of home decor and tabletop products including trays trivets coasters manufactured by Conimar Corporation, Mohawk Home, Evergreen, Thirstystone, Hindostone, and Highland Graphics. One of Malendas most popular product lines is the Diva Does . . . hair brush collection manufactured by Pacific Enterprise, which is popular all over the world, but particularly in the UK and Australia. These brushes have three dimensional divas on a premium quality hair brush designed by Malenda for the Woman that has everything.

Malenda has displayed at the Tennessee State Museum, Tennessee State University, The Renaissance Center in Dickson, Tennessee, International Art Expo in New York City, Biennale Internazionale dellArte Contemporanea, Florence, Italy, the Moultrie Georgia Art Center, the Chilton County, Georgia Art Museum and currently creates her art in her Marco Island, Florida studio.

Monica Linville

Web Site    Puerto Rico

I have been living and working in the foothills of Puerto Rico's El Yunque National Rainforest since 1986. A self-taught artist, my work is greatly influenced by the cultural, social, political and environmental tapestry that I believe Puerto Rico to be. My aim is to embrace you with my work, therefore giving you the time to absorb the emotional intent that drove me to create the piece in the first place.

Although my studio is removed from the normal flow of the art world, my work has attracted private and corporate collectors from around the world. My motto has always been to be the best that I can be and people will find me. It has proven true.
