Fly Me To The Moon

I decided to work in the digital media because of the frustration from customers asking if I had a particular painting with the car in red or blue instead of the color represented in the painting. They could not understand that it took months to do a painting in the realism style and that the cost would be reflected in the work and execution. With digital art I could finish the painting and then go back and by using layers change the color of the car only. As far as I am aware I was the first Automotive Artist to pioneer this and sell it on the Internet. I began with the classic Cord automobile and expanded the process when I became licensed with Carroll Shelby Licensing of Cobra fame. You will find many Shelby and Cobra art as well as other special interest autos in many of the popular colors of the era in which they were built often with scenic or historic American backgrounds. |

My pictures were shown at the
Biennale Internazionale dell'Arte Contemporanea
(Film: biennale-firenze.mp4, 327 MB) which opened on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy. (Cascade is at about 18:18 of the film.) Also at the Agora Gallery in NYC December 15, 2005 - January 10, 2006. I did the cover art for the December 2005 issue of Latin Finance (pdf) magazine. They wanted bluebrown with the colors in Glitter. I tried! Ionic was used by the Wu Chien Shiung Education Foundation in Taiwan to publicize their Science Camp. Shore has been chosen by the Consorzio EINSTEIN, Universit del Salento, Gallipoli, Lecce (Italy) to publicize the international conference of physicists Nonlinear Physics, Theory and Experiment, V, June 12-21, 2008.
From physics to chocolates! The Sugarless Company in Australia has just produced (I'm writing this May 3, 2008) boxes of delicious sugar-free chocolates, using Violet 2 as the basis of the product design. Clicking on these links will show you the pictures: Rose Dark Chocolate and Violet Dark Chocolate.

I have been a photographer for 25 years and have been transitioning into digital photography and digital image manipulation during the past four years. My digital pieces are created using layers and combinations of original and sometimes highly unusual photographs I've taken. The photos are enhanced and manipulated with Adobe Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro (to name a few of the many programs I use). Many of my pieces have a very unique and distinct surreal flavor. I am influenced by the works of
Dali, Kahlo, Pollock, Escher and Picasso (to name a few). I feel my unique style comes from the inner depths of my being, one that evolves out of self exploration, altered perceptions, and investigations of alternate planes of reality. Some of my works are presently on display at:
