From the German Romantic landscapes of Friedrich, to the Scientific Naturalism of American, Audubon, Russian, Tatyana Kuznetsova recalls the academic tradition of painting infused with her own sense of reality. A native of Russia, Tatyana Kuznetsova now lives and works in Norwood, Massachusetts.
Her diverse range of media includes oil, pastel, tempera, and gouache. Stylistically, her work ranges from realism to romantic symbolism, and surrealism. She approaches each painting as a living organism and introduces to each an individual sense of mood and narrative. She accomplishes this transference through careful and deliberate consideration of composition; the interaction of light and shadow, choice of color, and overall design of the canvas, principles drawn upon from her academic training and experience in graphic design. The results are eloquent compositions of harmonious line and color that have won her recognition and awards. Her works have been exhibited both regionally and internationally.

Although
Margaret has had no formal art training, she took up painting with the same
passion that has become a trademark of her life. Margaret's enthusiasm and
joie de vivre are evident in acrylic paintings that reflect a unique
impressionistic style and convey a feeling of warmth through the use of
vibrant colours.
A large source of Margaret's inspiration has come from her many travels
throughout the world, especially France and New Zealand. Since she started
painting in March of 2003, Margaret has found great success with both solo
shows, and works chosen each year at the juried Sooke and Sidney Fine Art
Shows. One of her paintings from the 2005Sidney show, "Easter Egg Hunt", was
bookmarked on the bi-weekly newsletter of internationally-renowned painter
Robert Genn. This electronic publication reaches over 135,000 artists in 105
countries. |
